Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is recruiting 214 new flight attendants to provide services on board THAI flights, accommodating future route expansion.
Flight Lieutenant Werasak Wiroonpetch, THAI Executive Vice President, Operations Department, said that as the Company is currently in the third phase of its Transformation Plan and is in the process of “strength building.” It is prepared to be a leading carrier or to go beyond the capabilities of competitors. The Company is in the process of recruiting 214 new flight attendants to serve THAI flights in preparation for future route expansion. THAI’s new flight attendants will hold a three year contract that may be renewed one time, whereby the contractual period will end on 30 September 2023. Applications were submitted online through www.thaiairways.com during 2-26 May 2017, resulting in 2,003 applicants, which shows that the flight attendant career remains highly popular. Currently, applications are being reviewed for qualified applicants, submission of required application materials, measure of body weight and height, and consideration of personality and image. The list of qualified applicants will be announced on 24 June 2017, those of whom may take the written exam before proceeding with the selection process that includes overall interview, third language interview, swimming test, and physical examination.
This group of flight attendants will be employed for a contractual period that will terminate at the end of contract, which is an employment policy used by other leading air carriers worldwide.
